4th European C1-INH Deficiency Workshop 29 April -1May 2005 Budapest
PRESENTATION: Dear Friends, On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee we are honoured and pleased to invite you to the 4th C1-INH Deficiency Workshop to take place in Budapest (Hungary), 29 April - 1 May 2005. This is the fourth time that this Workshop will be held in Hungary. The venue of the Workshop will be Hotel Ibis Budapest Váci út, formerly called Hotel Volga, (address: H-1134 Budapest Dózsa György street 65).This hotel is situated on the Pest side of Budapest, near the Western Railway Station, right at a stop of Metro Line No.3, just a few some minutes from the city centre. Our Workshop offers excellent opportunities to all participants, not only to present and discuss the latest developments in field of C1-INH deficiency but also to formulate new ideas and collaborations. The meeting is meant to provide a forum to discuss current views on etiopathogenesis of hereditary and acquired angiooedema and more recent advances in the diagnosis including molecular diagnosis and novel therapeutic approaches in HAE. The scientific programme includes the sessions of patients' associations and pharmaceutical companies. This year the Workshop will be held under the aegis of Jeno Rácz, the Hungarian Minister of Health. The first day of the conference April 29, coincides with the Day of Immunology (organized by EFIS), now to be commemorated in Europe for the first time. We welcome the submission of abstracts for oral presentations form. The programme will be finalised after recceiving of all abstracts. We are very glad that the circle of interested colleagues has widened. We expect the participation of some experts from outside Europe (M. Frank, A. Davis, B. Zuraw, T. Bowen) Our new initiation is, however, to encourage the participation of HAE experts from the Central-East-European region, such as the Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Macedonia. Participants are to pay registration fee, which includes accommodation (for two nights), meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee and refreshment), congress package, scientific and social programme. Registration fee for accompanying persons includes accommodation (for two nights in double rooms), breakfast, lunch, dinner with social programme. The Workshop starts 5:00 p.m. on Friday (29 April) and closes at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday (1 May).
